Nancy Joan Barrett

husband Al on February 15, 2019.

She was born February 3, 1936 in Massachusetts and moved to Dunedin, FL as a teenager with her parents Herbert and Alice Hammond.

Nancy graduated from Clearwater High School in 1954 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Education from USF and later earned her Master Degree from USF. She was an award winning Pinellas County School Teacher for over 30 years in Dunedin including San Jose Elementary and Garrison Jones Elementary.

Nancy married Alexander Bernard Barrett in 1955 at Dunedin Methodist Church and continued their lifelong faith for many years at Keystone United Methodist Church in Odessa where Al is laid to rest.

Nancy and Al were active members of several Tampa Bay Square Dancing Groups and enjoyed traveling to events in their RV. She also enjoyed watching her sons play sports and cheering for her beloved Buccaneers, and spending time with family and friends at her beach cottage .

Nancy is survived by her:

• Son Chuck, Fiancé Tricia.

• Son Dave and Daughter In Law Jillian and Grandson Dalex

• Sister Anne and Brother Bill

A celebration of Nancy’s life and love will be held April 1, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Keystone United Methodist Church 16301 Racetrack Road Odessa, Florida 33556
