

Walter married Virginia Szymanski July 14, 1951 (predeceased) and is survived by his two children, son Walter P. Nedick (spouse June) of Upper Freehold Township, New Jersey, and daughter Sylvia Schneider (spouse Roy) of Tierra Verde, Florida.
He has 4 grandchildren (Joseph, John, Kurt and Sara) and 6 great grandchildren (Preston, Luke, Alyssa, Matthew Leviticus, Castiel and Alana).
Walter is survived by his two sisters Lynn Pinelli of Homosassa, Florida and Patricia Kwitkowski of Plains, Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. Born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, He graduated New Brittan High School in Connecticut. A distinguished navy veteran of World World II and the Korean War, he served his country as a machinist on ships.
Walter and Virginia settled in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. He retired from the United States Post Office after being there for 25 years. They moved to Florida in 1988 and settled in Spring Hill. He later moved to Clearwater where he regularly attended Espiritu Santo Catholic Church.
His passions included his family. He enjoyed Friday lunches with family, tirelessly playing Texas Holdem whenever he could. He loved polka music and playing his clarinet. He also loved playing chess on the internet. His daily phone calls will be missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday August 24th @10:30am at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church 2405 Philippe Pkwy Safety Harbor, FL. 34695 following Military Honors.
