Normajeanne S Anderson, age 92, of Clearwater, Florida passed away with her daughter Nana Westmark by her side on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Born in Anderson, South Carolina to parents James and Lois Smith on August 5, 1932. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Nana and son Jaime. In life, Normajeanne has always been entertainer. While she was living in Arkansas from 1964-1969 she was a Radio Disc jockey where she would host News and Notes with Normajeanne, she would play some of her favorite artist on the airwaves like Eydie Gormé, Frank Sinatra, and Barbra Streisand to name just a few. In 1969, her and the family moved down to Clearwater Beach Florida.
From an early age, Normajeanne was a true thespian at heart, she was one of the board members of the Eight O'clock Theatre in the Largo area, here she would go on to act in many plays, sing, dance (aka Normajeanne the dancing queen). In this community she made many lifelong friendships along the way. She not only loved to entertain on the stage, but also loved to entertain friends at her home. She loved to throw parties and made many fond memories throughout the years. Her friends and family will remember her for her extravagant taste in clothing. No matter the occasion, Normajeanne would be dressed to the nines, always decked out in some sort of sparkle or sequin. Normajeanne was also a cat lover. If there was a role for a cat in one of her many plays, Normajeanne's pet cat would make a guest appearance on stage. Normajeanne was a true gem with a personality bigger than life, she will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Normajeanne is preceded in death by her son Jaime who passed away in 2018.
She is survived by her loving daughter Nana Westmark and the many friends that she has made along the way.
A celebration of her life will be hosted at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home Saturday February 15, 2025 at 12:00pm. In honor of Normajeanne's exquisite taste in fashion, the family is requesting guests to arrive in their finest attire; sequins, gold lamé, sparkle, feathers etc. are highly encouraged! In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Normajeanne's memory to the American Red Cross.
