Patricia Douglass Faw

FAW, Patricia (“Pat”) Douglass 84, died on March 20, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with a cardiovascular disease. Pat was born in Washington D.C. on March 18, 1931. She was married to Robert (“Bob”) Vernon Faw on April 18, 1949. Bob was a District of Columbia Fire Department retiree before the family moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1969. Bob died on January 1, 1982. Pat worked for Pinellas County Schools where she held a number of administrative jobs before she retired as secretary to the principal of Dunedin High School. She loved gardening and reading. Pat was a volunteer at the Tampa Public Library System. She was a former member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Clearwater. Pat is preceded in death by her husband Bob; daughter, Kathleen Umholtz; sister, Harriett Folger; father, George Douglass; and mother, Margaret Douglass. She is survived by son in law, Dale Umholtz, son, Rob (Jill), and daughters, Peggy Edwards (Barry), Colleen Maier (Mike) and Beth Matuska (John); grandchildren, Scott Maier (Rebecca), Jennifer Campbell (Steve), Brian Umholtz, Beki McElvain, Joe Faw (Megan), Ryan McElvain, Tom Faw (Liza), Daniel Edwards, Nicole and Katie Matuska; great grandchildren, Evelyn Campbell, Olivia Campbell, Gavin and Mason Faw. Pat also leaves behind her treasured friends, Helen Saul and Hilma McFarland. The family wishes to thank family and friends for their support and prayers. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 7pm at Safety Harbor Community Church, 401 2nd Street North, Safety Harbor, FL 34695.
