Born in Summerlee, West Virginia, to late Marvin Harry and Ruth Ann Light. Patricia was a woman defined by her unwavering love, strength, kindness, and resilience. A devoted Christian, her life was rooted in deep faith, with her strong belief in God guiding every step of her journey. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and love. Patricia’s faith was the foundation of her life, and she embodied the true essence of beauty, grace, and compassion in all she did.
Early in her life, she traveled across the country providing moving services, then devoted the majority of her career to procurement in supply chain management. After 25 years of dedicated service, she retired from Suncoast Chemicals, a company that played a significant role in her life. During her time there, she formed lifelong friendships, sharing unforgettable trips, meaningful conversations, and cherished memories.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Patricia had an undeniable passion for baking. She poured her heart into creating mouthwatering desserts, lovingly sharing them to make the special occasions of family and friends even sweeter. When she wasn’t in the kitchen, she could be found tending to her home and garden or offering a loving home to many rescue dogs over the years. Patricia’s greatest joy in life was her family…and all things Christmas!
She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Harry, daughter, Stephanie McCormick and grandson Nicholas. She is survived by her cherished children, son Jason Ruble, daughter Teresa Wagner (Chad), daughter Marianne Kearnes, son Chris Kearnes (Terri), and her many grandchildren, Brittany, Kimberley, Michael, Devianna, Mason, Marcus, and Alyssa. She is also survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Light; brothers Marvin Harry Jr. and Alan Light (Tracey); and sisters Martha Armold (Bud), Cheryl Mattingly, and Ariel Edwards (Chris).
Despite the many challenges she encountered, Patricia always provided for her family, persevering with remarkable strength and teaching us the true meaning of resilience. We ask that you remember her not by how her life ended, but by the strength of her character and the enduring legacy she leaves in the hearts of all those she touched.
