Patricia Ritter

She was born on February 10, 1937 in Etowah, Tennessee to George and Louise Patterson. Pat moved to Florida in the early 1950’s and attended both Clearwater and Largo High Schools. She was part of the graduating class of 1955 from Largo High School. She got married to Robert Rose in 1956 and they had their first child, Sharon Rose in 1958 and their second child, Kevin Rose in 1959. She was a proud Navy wife and homemaker. Pat spent the majority of her professional career in Downtown Clearwater between Trickles Jewelers and Park Jewelers. She was an active part of the downtown community and thrived in planning community events such as parades, festivals, and the jolly trolly. In 1980, Pat married Joe Yagel and they lived for 6 years in Clearwater until his unexpected passing. They had no children together. In 2003, Pat married long-time friend, Donald Ritter. They spent their golden years traveling the world, sightseeing, visiting family and enjoying each others company. In February of 2015, Don and Pat decided to move into Mease where they lived until their passing. Don preceded Pat in death when he passed in June of 2021. Pat was known as the Mayor of Mease and was known for her kindness, outspoken personality and giving heart. She is survived by her children Sharon (Keith) Manning of College Station, Texas and Kevin (Dede) Rose of Largo, Florida as well as her 5 grandchildren, Kyle (Haley) Manning of Boerne, Texas, Brianna (Rebecca) Carey of Newnan, Georgia, Katelyn (Patrick) Meyer of Houston, Texas, Jared Rose of Clearwater, Florida and Jordan (Jessica) Rose of Land O’Lakes, Florida and eight great grandchildren range in age from 7 to 14 months. Pat was the best friend, Mother, Meme and Memaw. All of our lives were better because she was in it.
