

Phyllis Kennemuth Lippert, 98, of Clearwater Florida, passed away on January 10th. She was born in Duke Center Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, she attended Penn Hall college in Chambersburg Pa. From there she went to New York City and was a dietitian at St. Josephs hospital in Brooklyn. Upon returning home to Duke Center, she worked at the Olean General Hospital in New York, She met her husband Merle at the age of sixteen and they briefly dated until he went into the U.S. Coast Guard during WW11, They were married on July 3rd. 1947. They loved to travel, and she enjoyed Christian fellowship all over the world.
They had two children Phyllis Ann Kelly (Tom) and Thomas Lippert (Lori), three grandchildren Gabriel Lippert (Winter), Rachel Chrzanowski (Josh), and Jesse Lippert, and five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Coral Rose,Cruz, Fin and Ripley; Christopher, Rebecca , Lauren, Grant and Cadence Kelly.
She loved to read, sew, garden, and go to the beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband Merle of sixty five years.
Services are being handled by Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home ,2853 Sunset Point Rd.,with calling hours on Tuesday January 17th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Empath Health Hospice.
