

Richard Charles “Wink” Winkelmann II, born on September 1, 1953, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 72. A resident of Clearwater, Florida, Richard was known for his hard-working, devoted, humorous, adventurous, generous nature.
Richard graduated from Dunedin High School in 1971. He pursued a career as a journeyman plumber, initially working for Ray Duncan Plumbing and various companies before establishing his own business. He retired five years ago, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and skill.
Richard had a passion for riding his motorcycle and cherished spending time with his family. He was actively involved in community events, including Toys for Tots and the Suncoast Brotherhood Annual Motorcycle Toy Run, and was a regular at the Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin’ Festival in North Florida.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Bobbie C. Winkelmann; daughter, Jasmine Amos; son, Richard Charles "Rocky" (Kristin) Winkelmann III; sister, Lisa (Chris) Choate; brother, Michael Winkelmann; grandchildren, Jennavieve Amos, Jackson Amos, Harper Winkelmann, Kaeden Olsen, Zoey Winkelmann, Justice Medero; great-grandchild, Angelica Medero; and many extended family members and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Charles Winkelmann Sr. and Barbara Marion (Nee' Larson) Winkelmann, as well as his siblings, Toni Winkelmann and Troy Winkelmann.
The family will receive guests from 6:00 until the Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, located at 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
Richard's life was a testament to his adventurous spirit and unwavering loyalty to his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him
