Rosa Elena (Tejada) Garrison, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Arequipa, Peru, Rosa immigrated to the U.S. in 1967 and later married Philip Walter Garrison, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Rosa dedicated her life to her family. She created warm, welcoming homes across numerous military moves, raised her children with love and determination, and found joy in baking, sewing, and supporting those around her. Her greatest pride was her role as a mother and grandmother. Later in life she discovered a passion for creating great tasting and beautiful wedding cakes.
She is survived by her husband, Philip; her daughter Suzanne Foucher (David); her son Gary Garrison (Bonnie); and her grandsons, Dean and Peter and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Florida, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
