

PAINTER, Sally Lee (Reece), 93, died November 25, 2025 in Dunedin. She was born to Clyde L. Reece and Stella (Logan) Reece in Evansville, IN. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School in New York, and Evansville College (now University of Evansville). Upon graduation, she was employed by the college until moving to Vero Beach to assist with a family illness. Subsequently she moved to Orlando, and later Tampa, where she was employed in both cities by Eastern Airlines for 27 years. During that time, she enjoyed the benefits of her employment by traveling the world extensively which continued into her retirement. Over the years, she enjoyed membership in the alumnae chapter of Chi Omega Fraternity (her college sorority), several Eastern Airlines affiliated retirees' groups, volunteerism, music, theater, antiques, family history, and her many friends and family members to whom she extended her sincere concern and assistance when needed. She is survived by her husband, Robert Edwin Painter of Palm Harbor; two step-children, Robert L. Painter of Palmetto, FL and Jay D. (Melinda) Painter of Austin, TX; three step-grandchildren, Jacqueline M. Painter, Jake R. Painter and Joseph R. Painter; her two nieces, Karen Farkas and Lori Gentile, and their families. She was preceded in death by her only sibling, John Logan Reece. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
