Shirley Arroyo

On Monday, July 22,2024, a piece of me died as the light of my mother, Shirley Ann Nordstrom Arroyo, went out for the final time. For those that knew her, consider yourself blessed, for those that she loved, you were made whole. Shirley was the “not so silent” back bone of our family. She always wanted to write a book about her life; I hope one day I can recall all of your experiences she shared with me to make her dream come true.

Shirley was a “caregiver” her whole life and was a teacher by trade. She loved her husband, Arnulfo “Frank” Arroyo the best that she could for their Seventy-five years together and Seventy-One years of marriage. On Monday, July 29th, 2024, they will be reunited again and be laid to rest together in their forever home. Love you mom, give Poppy a kiss for me, miss you already Diane.

She loved her family dearly…..Her son Fransico “Frankie” Arroyo (passed 9-3-2017), her daughter, Diane Marie Schleicher and her grandchildren Adam, Alyssa, Madison, Ariel, Mr. Kurt and her Great Grandson, Evan Arroyo.

A service will be held on Monday, July 29th, 2024, at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park at 2853 Sunset Point Road Clearwater, Florida 33759 at 11:00am.
