Smallia Stephanos

Smallia Stephanos went to be with her Lord on August 8, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Rhodes, Greece, on September 20, 1933, to John & Stamatia Melackrinos. When she was five years old, her family left Greece for Tarpon Springs, Florida, where she spent most of her childhood before moving to Weirton, West Virginia, and finishing high school. During a family visit in Danville, Virginia, she met Michael Stephanos (who preceded her death in 2008) and the two were wed on January 11, 1953. The couple moved many times over the years as they raised their three sons and one daughter. Her brother Murphy Melackrinos (Fontaine) preceded her death in 2014. She leaves her four children, George (Susan), John (Evelyn), Mark (Joanna), and Tina Vlachos (Gus), grandchildren Michelle, Tina, Michael, Christian, Michael, Athan, Lia, Christopher, Alexandra, Will, Hanna, Marianthi, Dyonisi, and Stephan, and great-grandchildren Lawson, Lukas, Liam, Hailey, Parker, Landon, Lucas, Oliver, Emma, Joseph, Eliana, and Matthew.

Family will be holding private funeral service.
