

Stephen G. Lamby, 61, of Dunedin, FL died on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Mease Dunedin Hospital. He was born on January 8, 1955 in Lafayette, IN and shortly thereafter the family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He attended Nova High School, the University of Florida, and the University of South Florida where he was awarded a Masters Degree in Special Education. In 1979 he married LeeAnn Crikis and together they had 2 children, Laura and Sarah. They divorced in 2006 and he did not remarry. Steve worked as a special education teacher for the Pinellas County schools for many years and was passionate about autism awareness. A gentle and kind soul, he truly cared about his students and enjoyed teaching them hobbies such as wood working. Steve was an avid fisherman and found peace on the water. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah; mother, Suzanne; and sister, Linda. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laura; and his father, Robert. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held at Sylvan Abbey on October 22, 2016 from 2-4pm.
