

Sun Ae Kim was born and grew up in rural South Korea. She worked as a hair dresser for a living there. She married and moved to the United States of America in 1966. She raised her family and was a hard-working sewing machine operator at M. Wile and Company garment manufacturer, making Johnny Carson brand suits in the Fredonia-Dunkirk NY area. She also worked at Dunkirk Ice Cream manufacturing facility. After she retired, she moved to Clearwater, Florida.
Her favorite hobby was dancing, especially ballroom dancing like waltzes, cha cha cha and jitterbug, and also enjoyed line dancing, limbo and any dancing to shake it, shake it. She enjoyed singing and Karaoke, and stylishly dressing up to celebrate various holidays, and overall living a good life. She strengthened her English as her second language over the years; and, loved to engage in American pastimes of travel, music concerts, parades, etc with fun and laughter.
She was very handy making handmade clothes and being the hair dresser for her and her family, and skillfully crocheted and knitted. She enjoyed socializing and cooking with her local Korean community as well as acclimating and building friendships throughout the communities she lived in.
She is survived by her two daughters Kim Wick and Jeannie Schrader-Norsworthy; grandchildren Amanda Quintero, Nina Wick, Jeremy Wick, Gabriele Norsworthy, and Derek Norsworthy; and great-grandchildren: Aurora Wick, Daisy Quintero, and Benedict Thatcher.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. A private family service was held on 2/8/26 and future celebration of life to be planned.
