Born on June 24, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Elizabeth and Thomas Robert Denny Sr. He graduated from St. Dominic’s High School and went on to attend Pace University.
A proud American, Thomas answered the call to serve his country in the Army National Guard, where he exemplified duty and patriotism. One of the highlights of his service included mail delivery during the Nixon administration—an experience he carried with honor and pride.
Thomas built a respected career in finance, beginning with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. After relocating to Florida, he continued his work in banking with Clearwater Bank, where he formed strong bonds within the community.
A man of intellect and curiosity, Thomas was an avid historian with a lifelong passion for learning. He found great joy in reading and exploring the stories of the past. He was also a former member of the Jaycees, dedicating time to leadership and civic involvement.
Above all, Thomas was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving daughter, Bridget Denny; his brother, John (Debbie) Denny; his sister, Margie (Donald) Matvay; his niece, Farrah Anno; his nephew, Brian Denny; his uncle Bob Daly; and many cherished extended family members and friends.
He is now reunited with the love of his life, his dear wife Suzanne Denny, and his parents, who welcomed him home with open arms.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, in honor of Thomas’s memory and enduring spirit.
