
Tom graduated from Northeast Catholic High School for Boys and went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Orndorf, on April 29, 1967, marking the beginning of a partnership that flourished for over 57 years.
Throughout his career, Tom excelled in business administration, accounting, and ministry. His professional journey included roles with the Philadelphia Marine Trade Association, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, and various Christian and Messianic organizations.
Additionally, he proudly served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard for over 40 years, embodying a spirit of patriotism and commitment.
A man of many talents and interests, Tom had a passion for writing, playing the clarinet, and most notably, for ministry and helping others. His heart for service extended beyond his professional life, as he was deeply involved in his community and faith-based initiatives.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Orndorf; his children, Erika McClurg and Tommy Orndorf III; and his grandchildren, Tommy Orndorf IV, Mia Rosa DaSilva, Wesley McDaniel, and Grace McDaniel. He is also survived by his siblings, John Orndorf and Rose Colella, who shared in his love for family and faith.
A funeral service to honor Tom's life will be held on November 4, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Bay Pines Military Cemetery.
