Victoria Smith

SMITH, Victoria “Vicky”,84, of Palm Harbor, passed away October 30, 2018 at Suncoast Hospice. She was a longtime resident of Clearwater, FL, most recently residing with her daughter and son-in-law, Debbi and Gary Kaleskas of Palm Harbor. Vicky was born in Live Oak, FL to Oscar Vadie and Mattie Crews. She deeply loved her four siblings, Katherine Hall, Ella Riley, Joseph Crews (all deceased) and had a bond like no other with her surviving sister, Martha Buis. Vicky had four children, Robert (deceased) Debbi Kaleskas of Palm Harbor, William and James both of Clearwater; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vicky retired from the General Electric Company after 35 years of service. She married Willis (Smitty) Smith in 1978, which created a very large blended family, but unfortunately was widowed in 2015. Her family agrees that her greatest attribute was her unconditional love for and need to care for her family. She

found great fun in playing the lotto and “treasure hunting” at local yard sales and thrift stores. Vicky’s family gives special thanks to the nurses and staff at Suncoast Hospice and would ask for donations to them, in lieu of flowers. A private gravesite service for family will be held at a later date.
