

Wiley H, Geren II, fondly called "Bachie", passed away August 18, 2025, at his home in New Port Richey. Florida. He was bom on May 5, 1937 in Chattanooga Tennessee, and although ne was 88 years old, he never lost his Southern accent,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer and June Geren as well as his firet wife of 33 years, Eleanor, and their infant son. Their two surviving children are Spencer Geren (aand his wife Dana), and daughter Sabrena Amaro, (and huspand Nick Amaro),.Their children, Wiley's four grandchildren are Wiley Geren III, Sydney Geren, Nicholas Amaro and Ellie Amaro.
Wiley was fortunate to find love again and is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara and stepsons, Robert Bees, Scott Bees and wife Sheri, as well as grandchildren Violet Bees and Trey Bees. Also his beloved rescue pets who he adored, Karma the mastiff and China the cat.
Wiley was an excellent football player and received a full scholarship at Georgia Techi where he made life long friends. He sustained football injuries severe enough that it ended his football days, but still graduated "a Ramblin wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hel-uva Engineer". Although his career started as a Safety Engineer, he found he was a great salesman ... and he certainly had the gift of gab! He started his insurance career at Liberty MUTUAL and later Became an owner/agent in Rodgers and Cummings in Clearwater Florida, which later became Merrill Lynch.
Bachie loved talking and entertaining friends, cooking and eating, and it was always centered around a roaring fire in a firepit. He was a man of Faith. He was a "Traveling Man" (a Mason and Shriner). He loved anything outdoors, spending alot of time in North Carolina Mountains and the Florida Keys. He was a diver in his younger years, loved boating, and buying fishing equipment (but not so much fishing). Later in Iife going garage Sale-ing was his passion... his other alias was "Garage Sale King' and lived by the motto that "whoever dies with the most stuff... wins".. Bachie, you won.... I tried to hook up the U-Haul benind you... they said they had never seen a U-Haul behind a Hearst. You and Doug always agreed to meet at Heaven's East Gate. Now that you two are now reunited, all of Heaven must be smiling and laughing at all of your antics.
