Arzie "Dallas" Marler

Arzie “Dallas” Marler, 73, of Lewisville passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother Nina Bell Marler. His immediate survivors are his wife Sarah of the home; son Carl Marler and wife Crystal of Yadkinville; daughter Amy Hedrick and husband Danny of Arcadia; grandsons Alan Marler and Ian Hedrick; his father Arzie Green Marler of Pfafftown; his brothers C.G. Marler and wife Helen of King; George Marler and wife Darlene of Walkertown; and his sister Gaynell Hicks and husband David of Madison. He retired after many years of employment from Smitherman Oil Company. He was a quiet man who enjoyed spending many precious moments with his family. Friends may visit on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Forsyth Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Winston-Salem or the Humane Society.
