On Saturday, September 20, 2025 Betty Byrd Hodges Tirmenstein went home to be with the Lord after living in VA, FL, GA (Blairsville) & NC (Winston-Salem) throughout her lifetime. Betty was born in Martinsville, VA on July 28, 1931 to Henry & Eleanor Byrd.
She is survived by her three children & their spouses: Michael W. Hodges (Neri), Sandra H. Hagen (Derald), & Charles D. Hodges (Debbie). Surviving grandchildren are Chris Maddox & Tashia Maddox & step-grandchildren Jeff Hagen (Silke) & Jennifer Hagen. She has four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, J. Marshall Byrd and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Mrs. Tirmenstein was a long-term member of Antioch Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA.
