Bobby Gray Hickman

Mr. Bobby Gray "Spanky" Hickman, 63, passed away on January 21, 2011 at Springwood Care of Forsyth. Mr. Hickman was born on July 11, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC, son of the late Raymer Bailey and Gladys Carter Hickman. He attended North Forsyth High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Kaye Elliott Hickman. He is survived by two daughters, Corinna (Paul) Carlton and Sabrina (BJ) Joyce, both of Winston-Salem; brothers, Bill (Donna) Hickman of Winston-Salem and Odell Downs of Rural Hall; and four grandchildren, Brad Carlton, Gray Carlton, AJ Joyce and Ashlynn Joyce, all of Winston-Salem. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the staff at Springwood Care for the patience and care for Mr. Hickman. Although a public Memorial Service will not be held, the family truly appreciates your thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
