

CE was born in Forsyth County to the late Clarence Elwood Norman, Sr. and Stella Leola Legans Norman on September 27, 1947. CE proudly served in the US Air Force as a sergeant and jet mechanic working on C-141 Starlifter engines. He began his career as a sales rep with Anderson Hosiery in Clinton, SC and continued for over 50 years in the textile industry through its many changes.
CE was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his former wife, Rebecca Davis Norman; son, David Lee Norman (Heather); granddaughter, Savannah Norman (Luis Sanchez-Ferrer); brother, Richard Norman; sister, Bonnie Taylor (Davis); nephew, Robbie Norman; nephew, John Norman (Crystal); niece, Tina Pinckney; grand-niece, Vera Norman; and grand-niece, Hattie Norman.
CE had a love for entertaining, playing cards, snow-skiing, water-skiing, boating and golf.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care provided by the doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care & Palliative Care Units of Forsyth Medical Center.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, September 30th from 5pm-7pm at Frank Vogler & Sons in Clemmons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winston-Salem Rescue Mission.
