Daniel R Long

Mr. Long was born on June 27, 1946, to the late Francis S. and Louise Long. Dan graduated in 1964 from Griffith High School. He then went on to graduate from NC State University.

Mr. Long showed his love for people and country through his veteran status in the US Air Force. Dan was active at Hebron United Church of Christ where he served on the board, taught Sunday School, and served as an usher. He was also a member of a Bible study group and Promise Keepers.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Brenda Hollowell Long; brother, Jim Long (Connie); sister, Mary Mendenhall (Jerry) ; sister-in-law, Carolyn Dombrosky; godchildren, Sammy Dombrosky (Jessica) and Jenny Dombrosky; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 27th at Hebron United Church of Christ Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hebron United Church of Christ.
