Mr. Dewey Orlando Meadows Jr.

WALKERTOWN - Dewey Orlando Meadows Jr., 86, of Walkertown, died Wednesday (March 3rd) at his home. Born in Forsyth County, he retired from Piedmont Airlines. Mr. Meadows was predeceased by his parents Dewey Orlando and Treva (Cromer) Allen Meadows, Sr. He was a member of the IAMAW Union and a United States Army Air Corp Veteran. Surviving family includes his wife Georgia (Poe) Meadows, Walkertown; children Shirley Wheeler and Husband Charles and Brenda Hall both of Winston-Salem, and David Dewey Meadows of Pilot Mountain; grandchildren Dwaine Covington and Dustin Meadows; great granddaughter Madison Meadows; brother Melvin F. Meadows of King.

A funeral service, celebrating his life, will be conducted on Friday (3/5/2010) 2:00 p.m. at the Vogler Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel, 2951 Reynolda Road (336-722-6106). Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery. The family will visit with their friends on Friday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. The family prefers, if you wish, contributions to a charity of your choice in memory of Dewey Orlando Meadows.
