

Eddie D. Hash of Pfafftown died on February 19, 2012 after a long illness. Eddie was born on January 22, 1944 to Mont Paul Hash, Sr. and Verna Sexton Hash of Grassy Creek, NC. Eddie is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann whom he was married to for 47 years. He has a daughter Stephanie H. Phillips and her husband Lawrence “Junior” Phillps and one grandson Daniel Phillips of Pfafftown. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Neta H. Vaught of Lewisville, NC; Kitty Kirk of Abingdon, VA; Freda Sumpter and husband Bob of Durham, NC; M. Paul Hash and wife Verna Hash of Indian Trails, NC; and Jerry L. Hash and wife Barbara of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Scott Hash, Dawn Hughes, Kevin Hash, Jennifer Moretz, Sharon Ward, Cheryl Burke, Julie Kirk, Robyn Riley, Ed Haroski, Michelle Stewart, and Linda Rucker. Eddie was employed at R.J. Reynolds at Whitaker Park for over thirty years and loved gardening and yard work. He enjoyed relaxing at his New River Mountain home, and was a cherished part of the Robinhood Road Baptist Church Family. Eddie was truly loved by all and will be missed tremendously. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Robinhood Road Baptist Church with Pastor John Hackworth officiating. Interment will take place at the New River Cemetery in Grassy Creek, NC at 3:00 p.m. that same day. Friends may visit at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
