

Elizabeth Mae Beland Bullard, 89, formerly from Winston-Salem passed away peacefully on February 6, 2011 at the Emeritus at Deep Run in Richmond, VA. She was born on July 29, 1921, in Wilson County, NC, to Jesse Battle and Effie Winstead Beland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman E. Bullard, a brother, Early Beland, three sisters, Pearl Pridgen, Gladys Evans, and Minnie Baker.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters Gayle Tuttle from Charlotte, NC, Shirley Drinkard and husband Warren from Sunnyvale, CA., grandchildren, Angela Reno and husband Jarrod from Charlotte, NC, Shelly Rycroft and husband Andy from Charlotte, NC, Jean Neal and husband Phillip
from Richmond, VA, and Jason Drinkard from Spout Spring, VA., great-grandchildren, Kimberly McKoin,
Renee McKoin, Sabrina McKoin from Charlotte, NC., Peyton Reno from Charlotte, NC., and Macy Neal from Richmond, VA. A sister, Pauline Baker from Rocky Mount, N.C. Two sister-in-laws Earline Lewis from Winston-Salem, NC., and Patsy Reynolds from Lewisville, NC., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church and was a retired school crossing guard with the Winston-Salem Police Department for 34 years. She was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge and the Lady of the Moose where she dedicatedly sold pecans for their yearly fund-raiser. She sold Stanley and Rawleigh products for many years and also very active in the selling of Sarah Coventry Jewelry.
A service celebrating her life will be Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem (336-722-6106). Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service @ 10:00 A.M. Officiating her service will be Rev. Brandon Hudson. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
