

Hazel graduated from nurse’s training at Medical College of Virginia and did short term medical mission work in the Middle East on the small island of Bahrain which was under British protectorate at that time. She met her husband Leonard who worked for the government at that time. After marriage in London, they returned to America and lived in Virginia for many years. They moved to North Carolina to be near relatives and lived near Winston Salem in Clemmons. They had many happy years in NC and did much volunteer work at a nursing home in the area.
Hazel leaves close relatives and friends, who wish to thank everyone who has shown so much loving concern for her welfare and comfort during her illness.
Funeral services will be at Vogler Funeral Home Clemmons Chapel on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will follow at West Lawn Gardens of Memory with the Dr William Hoyle and Jay Banasiak officiating.
