Mrs. Helen Juanita Strupe Strupe Conrad

LEWISVILLE - Mrs. Helen Juanita Strupe Conrad, 79, of Lewisville passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 while at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice. She was born in Forsyth County to Elmer and Donna Hauser Strupe. Mrs. Conrad was a member and pianist of Friendship Baptist Church. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 21 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Conrad loved to sew and cross-stitch. One of her favorite pastimes was working jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Conrad. Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Marion Conrad (Margaret), Richard Conrad (Jean), Michael "Tippy" Conrad (Sharon), and Stanley Conrad (Sherry); daughter, Amy Watford (Bill); brother, Sam Strupe (Ellen); sister, Jane Styers (Gene); grandchildren, Richard, Amanda, Kathi, Ashley, Robin, Angela, Laura, Yana, Alena, Anastaysia, Brian, Kim, and Lynn; 13 great-grandchildren; nephew, Robert Strupe; and many other relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010, 11 a.m., at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Zach King officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 4, 2010, 6-8 p.m., at Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
