
Winston-Salem- Mr. Howard Foster Blevins, 82, passed away, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 20 at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Chapel with Pastor Brian Miller officiating. Interment will take place in Forsyth Memorial Park.
Mr. Blevins was born in Ashe County, NC to the late James Walter and Beulah Shatley Blevins. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. For many years he worked as a dairyman for Brookberry Farm and was retired from Joyce Brothers Food Service.
Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Charlotte Long Blevins; sons and their spouses, Jerry, Jim (Tammy) and Chuck (Karen); daughters and their spouses, Jill (Gary) Bolick; Becca (Bland) Worley all of Winston-Salem and Jan (Nick) Waller of Florida; grandchildren, Clint Harmel, Ryan Bolick, Emily Forrest, Brooke Blevins, and Jacob Blevins; one great-grandchild, Charlotte Forrest; seven special sisters, eighteen nieces and nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by a sister. The family spans coast to coast and will deeply miss their loving Husband, Daddy, Grandpa, PawPaw, Brother and Uncle.
