Hunter Murphy Gardner's young life ended on January 23, 2024, long before it should have. Hunter was just beginning to discover what made him Hunter, watching the gleam in his eyes over music and new things was truly magical.
Hunter was a large spirit, he believed in love, peace, and happiness, and spent his entire life bringing it to every table he graced. He was slowly recognizing that he was a gift to this hard world, and he tried his best to share happiness.
Hunter was born on February 08, 2006 to Meagan and James Gardner, in Morehead City, North Carolina. He leaves behind four siblings, Anthony, Annaleez, Joshua, and Wesley.
His parents were divorced but were beautiful in all co-parenting methods. They were joined in life by two absolutely supportive partners, Meagan married Anthony Stamper, a wonderful Step Father, and James joined with Jane, an equally wonderful Step Mother. Hunter also has a wonderful God Mother, Nikki (with husband Joshua Byrne).
Hunter was the grandson to Danita Clemons, Mark Carraway, Patricia Gardner, and Ken Gardner. Ken passed not so very long ago, and it is hopeful he was waiting on his grandson to arrive. He was also very loved by Wanda and Ken Barnett, and Tony Maye.
Hunter had equally active great grandparents, Annette Jackson whom passed in December 2013, as well as Dot and Milt Garner, whom has also passed. He leaves behind Aunts; Crystal (with husband Rob Vandenbush), Melissa (with husband Rich Porto), Kim (with husband Lamont Connor), Heather (with husband James Wiggins), Cortnie Umphlett, Brittney (with husband Steve Bossie), Erin Moore. As well as his Uncles, Barrington Kelley (with wife Ashton), Matthew Gardner, Houston Black (with partner Lee), Chad Pierontoni (with wife Kayla), and David Moore. He also leaves behind many cousins.
Hunter's Uncle Barry has started a foundation in Hunter's name, it is called Hunter Gardner's Gateway to Gardening. Barry owns his own landscaping business out in Colorado Springs. Hunter was one of the people he loves most. It is a beautiful tribute.
A Celebration of Hunter's life will be on Saturday, January 27th at 11am at Frank Vogler & Sons in Clemmons. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:30am. Hunter will be laid to rest in a private committal service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, please, donate to your local animal shelter in Hunter's name, he would ask that those donations are direct to the shelters.
