Mrs. Inez Hackney Mayfield

She was a kind and loving Mom, Grandmother, and GG.

Mrs. Mayfield was a member of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.E. “Buck” Mayfield in 1979; brothers, Bernis Hackney, Arch Hackney, and Harding Hackney.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Wayne Mayfield (Judy) and Jim Mayfield (Pam); grandchildren, Dawn White, Greg Mayfield, Katie Jo Mayfield, and Jeff Mayfield; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Rexine Stewart.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:50 p.m. prior to the service.

Interment will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 12:00 p.m., at the National Cemetery in New Bern, NC, along side her husband, H.E. “Buck” Mayfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist-TV Ministry, 501 W. Fifth St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

The family would like to take this time to express gratitude to the Cunningham Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and the caregivers at Heritage Woods Retirement Home in WS for all their love and support.
