AVIS DE DÉCÈS

James "Jim" Richard Inman

11 août 1941 – 1 octobre 2024
Avis de décès de James "Jim" Richard Inman
AUX SOINS DE

Frank Vogler & Sons

James Inman is finally at rest. He has gone to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ. James “Jim” Inman passed away on Oct 1st from breathing complications associated with COPD.

Jim Inman was a dutiful son, an honorable veteran, a faithful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was predeceased by siblings Ernest, Robert, Glenda, Kay, and Toni, as well as the love of his life, Carolyn.

Jim served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, directly after high school. When he came home from the service, he worked as a carpenter most of his life becoming both a skilled craftsman and building contractor. Because of his passion for service, he also served his community as a volunteer firefighter, paramedic, and then as Fire Chief.

Jim married Caroline and took on a complete family of 3 kids, adopting them as his own and raising them the same manner as was done for him. His mother, Ileta, was a single mom herself for many years. When Jim was 10 years old, his mother was remarried to Fred Cronkrite who, by Jim’s own words, “changed his perspective on what it meant to be a man, a father, and a husband.” Jim became that man and father to Carolyn’s children, devoted to providing them with a loving and nurturing home.

Jim knew Christ in a real way, leaving a legacy behind who are truly grateful for the love and service he shared with them. Jim was not a perfect man. Far from it. But Christ worked through him to raise 2 generations who also know His name.

Jim raised Carolyn’s 3 children as his own. Moreover, when some of them hit difficult circumstances in their lives, Jim made a home for his 4 grandchildren, raising the next generation as his own as well. One called him Dad instead of papa.

Jim is survived by his son, Jerry; his daughters, Patti and Suzi; grandchildren (8): James, Jonathan, Jenna, Carrie, Barbie, Valerie, Matthew, and Caitlin; as well as 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Jim made a significant yet quiet contribution to this world, through his service to God, to community, and most of all to his family. These few words cannot do justice to a man’s life. In his humble manner of heart, he wished no service or honor for himself but simply to be at rest next to Carolyn, his life partner of 57 years.
