

Justin Shane Jackson, 32, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2010, at Baptist Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1977, in Forsyth County, NC. Mr. Jackson attended Mt. Tabor High School until the 10th grade when he was involved in an automobile accident. During his school years, he played soccer and baseball and loved to write computer programs. He also played guitar and keyboards and wrote songs. Mr. Jackson was involved in youth groups at three separate churches. He was loved by all of his teachers and was always there for his friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Floyd Jackson Godfrey, on Dec. 24, 1990, and since then, he has been loved and cared for unconditionally by his grandparents, Jack and Ellen Floyd. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, and friend. Left behind to cherish his memory are a sister, Jennifer Godfrey Tilley, her husband, Jeremy and their son, Wade; a brother, Joshua Godfrey; two uncles, William Ray Floyd, his wife, B.J., and their daughter Crystal, and Mike Floyd, his wife, Dawn, and their sons, Michael and Gabriel; and many aunts, uncles and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Jackson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at Voglers Reynolda Road Chapel with Pastor Kevin McManess officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, at the Reynolda Road Chapel.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the EMTs, volunteer firefighters, and emergency personnel that have helped over the years, the emergency room doctors and nurses at Baptist Hospital and everybody that was involved in Mr. Jackson’s home care for the past 16 years. A very special thanks to his sister and his Aunt Dawn for their loving care.
