

She was born on October 29, 1928 in Guilford County to the late James Garland and Annie Elizabeth (Bland) Wall. Her family moved to Walkertown, NC where she attended elementary and high school, graduating high school in May, 1949. She then enrolled in Charlotte Memorial School of Nursing.
Jane and Robert met in December 1949 and were married on July 29, 1950 at Loves United Methodist Church in Walkertown. They established their first home on Olivet Church Road and she joined Olivet Moravian Church where she was one of the leading sopranos. She was a member of the Covenant Sunday School Department, assisted in teaching in the Primary Sunday School Department, and a member of the Woman’s Fellowship.
Jane enrolled in the Draughns Business School, in Winston-Salem. She was employed in a physician’s office having the positions as secretary, bookkeeper, and nurse, retiring in 1972 from public employment.
They moved to Burlington, NC to the Shamrock Country Club where she took professional golf lessons. She joined the Graham Presbyterian Church and became active in the Women’s Fellowship, Chancel Choir and Covenant Bible Class. In 19778, she and Robert visited the Holy Land, and took a side trip to Athens, Greece.
When Robert retied from AT&T, they moved to the Midland Country Club in Pinehurst, NC, where they joined the Community Presbyterian Church. Jane continued her golf activates and won the Midland Ladies Golf tournament.
They relocated their residence in May, 1997 to Clemmons, NC, joining the Clemmons Moravian Church. She was active in the Women’s Fellowship there and a member of the Young at Heart.
Jane and Robert celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 31, 2010 with a luncheon at Salem Glenn Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert O’Neal Beroth, her parents, James Garland Wall and Annie Elizabeth (Bland) Wall, two sisters, Virgie (Wall) Bland of Richmond, VA and Charlotte Ann (Wall) Chadwick of Winston-Salem, NC, three brothers, James Bland Wall of Newberry Springs, CA, Fred Fennell Wall of Lewisville, NC and David Franklin Wall at the Veterans Hospital, Salisbury, NC. She is survived by several nieces and a nephew.
The funeral service will be held June 14, 2016, at 2 p. m. The family will meet with friends in the Olivet Moravian Church Fellowship Hall from 1:30 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Olivet Moravian Church Graveyard. Mrs. Beroth will lie in state at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home, Clemmons Chapel from Monday from 11-5 PM.
