Mary Sue Cornwell Phillips

She married the love of her life, Claude, on July 31, 1965 in Dillon, SC.

She loved working outdoors in her yard, loved playing Hay Day on the computer, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Allen “Buster” Phillips; brother, Tom Cornwell; and sister, Sarah Logan.

She is survived by children, Chris and Dee Phillips of Smithfield, NC, Mark and Kim Phillips of Clemmons, NC, and Paul and Kim Phillips of Belews Creek, NC; siblings, Robert Cornwell of Winston-Salem, Margaret King of Winston-Salem, Jane Cornwell of Yadkinville, Steve Cornwell of Walnut Cove, and Peggy Saylor of Clemmons; grandchildren, Jessica Phillips, Amanda Mabe, April Massey, Chase Phillips, Ryan Phillips, and Logan Phillips; great grandchildren, Hope Massey, Brooke Mabe, and Brantley Mabe; and many special nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

A funeral sevice will be held Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, 2:30 pm, at Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel. The visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
