Mildred Virginia (Charles) Holbrook, age 93, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center. Mildred was born January 6, 1931 in Davie County, NC to the late Harrison and Georgia (O'Mara) Charles. She had lived in the Clemmons community for most of her life and retired from Jostens publishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter A. Holbrook. She is survived by her children, Johnnie Holbrook and his wife Mi Ryong of Georgia, Louise Holbrook Fisher and her husband Tim of Winston-Salem, Matt Holbrook of Pfafftown and two remaining sisters, Charlotte Ingle of Liberty and Mary Butner of Winston-Salem, grandchildren Isaac Holbrook, Jacob Holbrook, Taylor Fisher, Chris Fisher, and a great grandson Gabriel Holbrook.
A visitation for Mildred will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Frank Vogler & Sons, 2849 Middlebrook Dr, Clemmons, North Carolina 27012. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, 6135 Ridgecrest Point, Winston Salem, NC.
