

Lynn was born on April 15, 1944 in Forest City, NC to the late John Franklin Carpenter and Georgiana Lavender Carpenter. Through hard work and determination, Lynn obtained her Doctorate and spent her career teaching English and Literature to many of her treasured students at Gardner-Webb University and public schools in North Carolina. After a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, her final 10 years of life were spent with her son and his family in Clemmons, NC.
Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved brother Ronald Franklin “Red” Carpenter. She leaves behind her son John Blair Keeter (Julie), sister Beth Carpenter Lewis, grandchildren David Taylor Keeter and Audrey Lynn Keeter Gilham; great grandchildren Evelyn Gilham, Levi Gilham, Rosemary Keeter and nieces Ashley Lewis, Amanda Culpepper, Austin Lewis.
Lynn will be laid to rest at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Forest City, North Carolina.
