Ollie Baity Smith

She was born January 12, 1926 in Yadkin County to Raymond and Cora Baity.

She was predeceased by: her parents; brother, Santford Baity; sisters, Ethel Bovender, Flo Bovender, Molly Smitherman and Faye Miller. She was also predeceased by a son, Jerry Fletcher, in 2006.

She is survived by: spouse, Charles W. Smith, of the home; daughters, Sharon Pennington of King, NC, Judy Hine of Winston Salem; a sister, Ola Martin of Boonville, NC; brothers-in-law, Don Miller of Advance, Fred (Peggy) Smith of Randleman, NC; 2 grandchildren, Angela Hege Pilcher of the home, Alex Hege (Candy) Jr. of Lexington, NC; 3 great-grandchildren; Michael Ray Pilcher (Britini) of Lexington, NC, Tanner Hege of Raleigh, NC, and Austin Hege of Lexington, NC; great-great-granddaughters Jalyn Jones of Lexington, NC, and Aubrey Pilcher due November 2015.

She retired from Gordon Manor Diner after years of cooking good meals. Ollie loved her family. She enjoyed blue grass music and her music family.

We will miss you Granny. We love you.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2pm at Frank Volger & Sons Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Rd. Ollie will be placed to rest at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown following the service.
