Richard Edgar Brown (Dick) was peacefully called home to our Lord on Thursday June 28, 2018.Those called home before him included his parents Ralph and Bertha Brown; his beloved wife of 60 years Catherine Joan Brown; a sister Barbara and brother-n-law Jim Breen; brother-n-law Charles (George) Geiger; sister-n-law Jeanne McLaughlin (Bill) and a grandson, Jacob Alan Brown.
He is survived by five children: Rick (Shere) Brown of Pinnacle, NC; Jeff (Susan) Brown of Advance, NC; Cathy (Al) Carter of Rocky Mount, NC; Dan (Ann) Brown of St. Charles, MO and Greg (Megan) Brown of Snellville, GA; 10 grandchildren: Ricky (Tamara) Brown of Kings Bay, GA; Brittany Maclean-Crews (Travis) of Pinnacle, NC; Aaron Brown of Wilmington, NC; Jordan Carter of Rocky Mount, NC; Sydney (Jonathan) Wiggs of Elm City, NC; Julie (Ryan) Munos and Alex Brown of St. Charles, MO and Sammy and Elyse Brown of Snellville, GA; 8 great grandchildren: Lorelai, Ethan and Tanner Brown of Kings Bay, GA; Dayden Maclean, Chloe and Emma Crews of Pinnacle, NC; and Harper and Hadley Wiggs of Elm City, NC; a sister-in-law (Kay) Geiger of Mantoloking, NJ; Brother Chet (Marlyn) Brown of Whiting, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews; A great Aunt Ann Stewart Lequer (100) of Seattle, WA.He was a member of Holy Family Catholic church. He loved to travel, play golf, and take pictures. He was a devoted and loyal husband, father, caretaker and great family man.
The family will receive visitors at Frank Vogler & Son’s Funeral Home, Clemmons, NC on Saturday,
June 30, 2018 at 1:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm at the Clemmons Chapel. The burial to follow in the Westlawn Gardens of Memorial Cemetery.
