Richard (Dick) Howell Morgan

Richard (Dick) Howell Morgan, 71 passed from this life Sunday, march 13, 2016 at the Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Winston Salem to H N (Pop) Morgan and Pauline Kennedy Morgan. He graduated from James A Gray High School. He was in the U S Marine Corp from 1969 until 1971 where he served a tour in the Vietnam War. He worked for many years at Gravely Tractor and Hayward Pool Products where he retired. He was a devoted member of Arcadia United Methodist Church where he sang in the Choir and was Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a Volunteer at Forsyth Hospital until he became ill. He was an avid ball fan and loved his Red Skins and N C State Wolf Pack. He also loved gardening and the beach.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Lillian Isley and a brother, Jimmy Morgan, a beloved stepmother, Marie Morgan. He is survived by brothers, Howard Morgan (JoAnn) and Jason Morgan, sisters Frances brooks (Jack), Jean Bryan (Bill) and Helen Doss (Steve). A special brother-in-law Tommy Isley. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, 11 great and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at Arcadia United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday March 16, 2016. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, Richard wanted memorials to be given to Arcadia United Methodist Church, NNC Hwy 150, Clemmons, NC. 27012
