Richard Harold Wade

Richard was born on February 16, 1933 in Danville, Virginia to the late Walter and Gracie Wade. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Richard was stationed at Fort Bragg and would reminisce with his family of jumping out of airplanes while in the Army. He worked as a truck driver for Pilot Freight Carriers for over 25 years.

He was a man of few words, but lots of love. Richard enjoyed watching NASCAR. His favorite thing to do was fishing, whether the beach, a lake, or a pond, he was always up for some time on the water.

Richard leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Frances Wade; son, Richard Wade, Jr.; step-children, Hilda (Doug) Rudisill, Les (Sandy) Flynn, and Charlotte McGlamery; and five grandchildren.
