

He was born August 24, 1944 in Richmond, VA, the son of Robert and Anna Skinner Marshall, Sr. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, where he was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. A graduate of Danville Tech and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, he was self-employed as a Furniture Conservationist. Bob has also worked with Caudle Distributing, Bethania Cabinetmakers, Ducar Designs and Sid & Marty Croft. He was a member of the Piedmont Civitan Club (President 2003-04), Volunteer Technical Director and Set Designer with Stain Glass Playhouse, a member of three Caving Organizations (founding member of Mountain Empire Grotto) and an active member of the Keith Klan Society USA. He was a Master Craftsman with many other talents. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Vilia W. Marshall; five children, Robert B. Marshall, III of Denver CO., Valerie (Don) Woodard of Lewisville, Todd (Sonia) Matthews of Winston-Salem, Jenny (Mike) McClearen of Winston-Salem and Miles Matthews of Clemmons; a sister, Robbie Marshall of Portsmouth, VA and six grandchildren, Alana Marshall, Jackson Woodard, Madelyn Woodard, Kaitlyn McClearen, Julie McClearen and James McClearen.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, September 20th in Forsyth Memorial Park by Pastor Brent Greene and Mr. Todd Matthews. The family will friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, September 19th at Frank Vogler and Sons, Clemmons Chapel.
