Virginia Vannoy

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. She loved her Sunday school class and attended class for about 3 Sundays last year in November. She was a member in a senior singing group, which she dearly enjoyed.

She loved driving her little Chevrolet car to Wal-Mart which she did every week up until Christmas of last year.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Charles A. Vannoy; children, Lu Ann Vannoy and Timothy C. Vannoy; and siblings, Jack Simmons, Paul Simmons, Clarice Simmons, and Rachel King; sister-in-law, Jennie Simmons.

She is survived by sisters, Margaret Vaden (Louis) and Mycleta Burwell; niece, Jane Nunn (Jack); and nephews, Norman Vaden, Ray King, Keith Burwell, Kim Burwell, and Kent Burwell.

A graveside service will be March 30, 11:00 a.m., at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall.

Her sisters want to thank two special neighbors for the care they gave Virginia for the last 10 years, Dennis and Donna.
