Walter Hugh Wilson III

Walter Hugh Wilson III December 8, 2012 Walter Hugh Wilson III, 75, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away on December 8, 2012, in Naples, Florida, peacefully in his sleep. The family will have visitation Friday, December 14, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Vogler and Sons Reynolda Chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Forsyth Memorial Park for all family and close friends. Hugh was born in Winston-Salem on December 1, 1937. He graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's of Science Degree from North Carolina State University. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Hugh was married to Jean Shields Wilson on August 23, 1959; they were married 53 years. Hugh was retired from Wilson Pest Control Company, a business started by his father that he took over Presidency in 1983. He was president of the North Carolina Pest Management Association in 1978 and 1979. Hugh spent the last 14 winters in Naples, Florida, playing golf, enjoying the warm weather and spending time with his much loved dog, Babe. Hugh is survived by his wife Jean, his three children; Kimberly Wilson Hunt (Neil)of Titusville, FL, Walter Hugh Wilson IV (Jennifer)of Winston-Salem, and Jonathan Craig Wilson (Alexandra) of Big Canoe, Georgia.; his five grandchildren, Rachel Wilson of Raleigh, Jack Wilson of New York, Mark Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC, JD Hunt of Tallahassee, FL and Sam Hunt of Titusville, FL; his mother-in-law Chattie Shields; his brothers and sisters in-law Doug and Joyce Shields, Curt and Pat Hege; his brother Randolph Wilson (Anne). Hugh is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hugh Wilson Jr. and Ruth Maynor Wilson.
