Allen Kofsky, age 92; beloved husband of Elaine Deceased; devoted and adored father of Kathy Kofsky (Fiancé Aaron Slitz), Kipp Kofsky (Ruby) and Kory Kofsky (Renee); loving grandfather of Chase, Logan, Adam, Aaron, Kyle and Ryan; dearest brother of Udice Kohn (Herb Deceased) and the late Florence Kofsky. Mr. Kofsky had a musical career with the Cleveland Orchestra that spanned 39 years, from 1961until 2000.He played 2nd trombone and also acted as personnel Manager for the Cleveland Orchestra. Mr. Kofsky performed under the direction of many renowned conductors such as George Szell, Lorin Maazel and Christoph von Dohnanyihe. He also was a Professor of Music at Baldwin Wallace University for 51 years. Services will be held Sunday June 10, 2018 at 11: 00 AM at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friend at the residence 23914 Edgehill Dr., Beachwood. Immediately following interment to 8:30 PM and Monday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve or The Wounded Warrior Project.
