A devoted supporter of the Mandel JCC, Andrew's generosity illuminated the annual Book Fair each fall, while his contributions to the Jewish Federation of Greater Cleveland and Klezmer music concerts at Cain Park brought joy to many summer evenings. His love of music manifested itself through major support for the Cleveland Orchestra and City Music
Born in Bolivia to parents who bravely fled Europe before World War II Andrew’s journey brought him to the United States at the age of five. Following in his father's footsteps, he became an Industrial Engineer, dedicating his talents to Cuyahoga Plastics, the business founded by his dad.
Andrew was a man of warmth and humor, always with a twinkle in his eye and a joke ready to share. He and his beloved wife, Judy, were known for their lively gatherings, where the aroma of his legendary homemade bread, pizza dough, and barbecue filled the air, creating memories that will linger forever. An avid woodworker and chip carving artist, Andrew found joy in crafting beauty from nature. He embraced the great outdoors as a cross-country skier, runner, and bicyclist, embodying a spirit of adventure and zest for life.
He leaves behind his dear wife, Judy, whose love and companionship enriched his life. Andrew’s legacy of generosity, laughter, and artistry will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
