

He is survived by Diane Stupay his loving wife of 66 years; children Ann Stupay (Loris Grossi), Robert Stupay (Sandra Maurel Stupay), Paul Stupay (Michela Stupay); grandchildren Thomas, Elisa, Ben, Hailey, Maclin, Jack, Elliot.
Arthur led a vibrant life, active in business, the arts, politics and his community. He grew up in New York City, son of Polish immigrants and attended the prestigious Stuyvesant High School. He was a trained economist, graduating from City College of New York and an M.A. from N.Y.U. and University of Pennsylvania. He met Diane while working for the SEC in Washington D.C.
Arthur began his career working on anti-poverty projects. In 1971, he and the family moved to Cleveland where became a partner at the investment firm, Prescott, Ball & Turben, covering the packaging industry. He then managed his own advisory firm Tower Research for 16 years; and has been a Senior Advisor to Dix & Eaton for the past 25 years. In his 70’s, he became a published author who undertook extensive research and wrote multiple books about his family’s history and journey to the U.S. He was a lecturer at the John Cabot School teaching Comparative Economics in Rome, Italy.
There are many activities, boards, organizations where Arthur has been an active leader, member or participant. He has been a proud supporter of the arts through the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland Orchestra; literary organizations including The Novel Club and his longtime membership to the Rowfant Club; professional organizations such as the CFA Society of Cleveland; The City Club; The Jewish Federation (serving as the co-chair of the Bankers and Brokers Division); and so many more.
Funeral services will be held at Suburban Temple Kol Ami, 22401 Chagrin Blvd, Beachwood, Ohio 44122 on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
The family will receive friends at the Stupay residence, 12526 Cedar Rd #1, Cleveland Hts, OH 44106 Friday, February 28, 2025 following burial until 4 PM, Saturday from 4 - 6PM and Sunday from 2 - 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of Arthur Stupay to The Cleveland Museum of Art, The City Club, or The Overseas Committee of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
