On March 7, 2025, Audrey Hinds Mandel Holsman passed away at the age of 89. Loving mother of Scott (Melodie), Karen (Ed) and Jeff (Donna), cherished grandmother of Aliya, Asher, Chris (Kelly), Dreux, Leah and Ellie; great grandmother of Lyla and Katy. Sister of Roger. Predeceased by her father Joe and her mother Rose. She will be missed by many other family members and friends.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where she went to Glenville High School. She worked for over 30 years in the Cultural Arts Department at the JCC, where her pride and joy was in organizing the annual Art Show—resulting in dozens of objects purchased and on display in her homes. She loved arts and crafts fairs. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling and playing mah jong. She was also very active in B’nai B’rith and Beth Am Synagogue.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. March 16 at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel at 1985 S. Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights, followed by interment at Bet Olam Cemetery (Park Synagogue Section), located at Chagrin and Richmond Roads. There will be no local shiva.
