(nee Bibi) passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 20th, at the age of 62. She was the beloved wife of Mark, cherished mother of Sagi Shilo (Christie Yonkers), Tal (Brian)Rothstein and Ben Sack, adored grandmother of Sammy and Sadie Rothstein and Lola and Olive Chicotel, dear sister of Miri Levi and Avi Bibi (deceased), loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and dear family to many. Avi was born in Haifa, Israel to David and Sarah Bibi on November 4th, 1955. After attending high school at Kibbutz Amir in northern Israel, Aviv served as a medic in the Israel Defense Force. Aviv attended the Oranim Institute and earned a degree in Early Childhood education and worked in that field at her home on Kibbutz Gan Shemuel until moving to Cleveland with Mark and her first two children, Sagi and Tal, in 1989. Initially in Cleveland, Aviv continued working with young children and after having her youngest son Ben, Aviv eventually transitioned to work for Ohio Savings Bank for about 7 years. She eventually left the banking world to manage the office of a local orthodontist for about eighteen years until her retirement in 2017. Aviv's toddlers, her customers, her clients, and her patients benefitted from her radiant smile, her kind demeanor and her warm and effective attention to their needs. Aviv was devoted to her family and friends and was actively engaged in several organizations that promoted the well-being of her homeland, Israel. She was also an avid Israeli folk dancer appearing with several performing groups and enjoying the more casual weekly dancing at the JCC.Aviv was a strong-willed and spirited woman whose radiance and straight-fowardness-almost always always provided with a genuine smile-will be greatly missed.
