Daniel S. Berenstein passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born on May 28, 1935, to Jack and Tillie Berenstein.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Daniel was a man of many passions. He loved cooking, fishing, and golfing at Manakiki Golf Club. He was an avid sports fan—especially of the Cleveland Browns—and enjoyed playing cards (particularly Euchre), staying informed on current events, and hosting lively cookouts with friends and family. Known for his quick wit and warmth, Daniel cherished time spent with those he loved.
He is survived by his children, Eric Berenstein (Barbara) and Lisa Lowry (Phillip); his beloved grandchildren, Audrey Argueta and Jillian Lowry; his brother, Michael Berenstein; and his sister-in-law, Toby Berenstein. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne; his parents, Jack and Tillie; and his brother, Fred Berenstein.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Mount Olive Cemetery, Solon, OH.
Arrangements have been made under the care of Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
